The reports page, and what each number means

Reports is in the main menu. It is one page you can read to a board without preparing anything: where the year stands against the budget, what work is open and how old it is, and what has been spent by category.

Budget position

Planned against spent for the year, per category and in total. If you are partway through the fiscal year it also shows where the year is heading if the rest of it looks like the part you have had, which is an estimate and says so.

Why a number might look low

Spent only counts costs that were actually recorded on a work order. A job that was done but never had its cost entered is invisible here, and so is anything paid outside the association's own process. If a figure looks too low, that is usually the reason and the fix is entering the cost on the job.

Taking it to a meeting

You can print this page, but the Board packet under More is usually what you want: it drafts the agenda and an opening summary alongside these same figures. There is a separate guide for that.

What it is not

There is no report builder, no custom date ranges and no saved views. It is the handful of numbers a small board actually reads, kept current, rather than a tool for making new ones.

Did this answer it? If not, email us; a human replies, usually same day.
