Settings, and who is on the board
More, then Settings. Most of this you set once during setup and never touch again. The parts boards come back to are the approval rule and, every year after the annual meeting, who is on the board.
Adding or removing a board member
This is in the Directory, not here. Open the person, and set their role. Resident is everybody by default. Board can see board-only documents and vote on approvals. Admin can do everything, including billing and settings. A new board member gets a sign-in link by email; there is no password to create.
Removing somebody is the same screen: set them back to Resident. They keep their own home, their dues and their history, and lose the board-only views. Do this the week after your annual meeting and nothing else has to change.
The approval rule
One threshold and one mode. Under the threshold, whoever is handling a job just gets on with it. Over it, the job waits for votes: either the chair alone, or a set number of board members, or track-only if your board would rather record decisions than gate them. Board members vote from their email without signing in.
How the AI files mail
Three settings. Review means nothing is filed until a person confirms it, which is where every community starts and where most stay. Confident files the ones it is sure about and holds the rest for you. All files everything and lets you correct it afterwards. When in doubt, stay on Review.
Work categories
The list a work order can be filed under, which is also what drives the budget. Add the ones your community actually spends money on. Anything unrecognized files as Other rather than failing, so an odd job never gets stuck.
What changing a setting does not do
Nothing here rewrites history. Raising the approval threshold does not un-approve anything already approved, and renaming a category leaves the jobs already filed under it where they are.
