Features / Change requests

Change requests the board answers in days, not seasons.

A neighbor wants to paint the door sage green. They submit it in two minutes with a photo, every board member votes from their inbox, and the decision arrives in writing with the conditions spelled out. Next year, the precedent is one search away.

Votes from the inbox, like everything else here

Each board member gets the request by email with a personal voting link: approve, approve with conditions, or deny, with a comment the resident never sees. Opening the link is not a vote, and mail scanners cannot vote either. The tally sits on the request for everyone on the board to see.

Votes advise; the board decides

We do not referee your bylaws. When the board is ready, an admin records the official decision, and that recording, not the vote count, is the act. The resident hears immediately by email, their tracking page updates, and a courteous decision letter is one tap away: congratulatory when approved with the conditions spelled out exactly, respectful when denied with an invitation to revise.

The precedent trail

Every request stays linked to its home: what was asked, what was decided, what conditions applied. When the next owner asks whether shutters can be navy, the answer is in the record instead of in a past president's memory.

Questions boards ask about change requests

Do we have to encode our approval rules?

No. Board members vote as advice; a person records the official decision whenever your process is done. Nothing auto-approves or auto-denies.

Can residents see each other's requests?

No. A resident sees only their own, through a private tracking link. The board sees everything.

What about an ACC committee that is not the board?

Today vote emails go to board members and admins. A tag-scoped reviewer list is on the roadmap; the recorded-decision step already works for any committee structure.

Is this included?

Yes, in every plan.
