Features / My home

One page that answers where do I stand.

A neighbor who reported a leak three weeks ago should not have to dig through old email to find out what happened. My home puts the four things they actually wonder about on one page: what they owe, what they booked, what they reported, and what they asked permission for.

An open gate in a hedge, a stone path leading through, and a mailbox with its flag up

A code, not a password

They type their email address and we send a code. No password to invent, no password to forget, no app to install, no account for a board volunteer to create or delete later. The code signs them in on that device and that is the whole ritual. If a neighbor never signs in, nothing breaks: every link the community emails still works on its own, which is how most people will use the product forever.

Four answers, one page

Dues shows either the amount outstanding or the words you are paid up, then a line for each period so they can see what was already paid. Bookings shows the amenity reservations still ahead of them, with the date and time, because the alternative is hunting for a confirmation email from six weeks ago. Maintenance requests and change requests each show where the thing they submitted actually stands, and open to the same tracking page the confirmation email pointed at.

It shows. The emailed links still do

My home is deliberately read only. Paying an invoice and cancelling a booking both happen through the link the community emailed, and that is a security decision rather than an unfinished one: the manage link for a booking is stored hashed at the moment it is created, so nobody can reissue it later, us included. A page that could hand out a fresh cancel link to whoever is signed in would be a page worth attacking. So the page tells a neighbor where they stand and points at the email that can change it.

Questions boards ask about my home

Do residents have to create an account?

No. There is no signup, no password, and nothing to install. Reporting a problem, paying dues, booking an amenity, and answering an approval all work from the link in the email. Signing in with a code is only needed to see the summary page, and it is optional.

Can a resident pay their dues from this page?

Not from the page itself. It shows what is outstanding and each period's status, and the payment link comes with the invoice the board sends. That is on purpose, so a signed-in session can never mint a payment or cancellation link that was meant for one person's inbox.

What does a renter see?

The same page, scoped to the home they live in, if the board has them in the directory as a resident of that home. Dues lines belong to whoever the board invoices, so a renter in a community that bills owners sees their requests and bookings without seeing someone else's balance.
